Greenville, OH July 22, 2025— JAFE Decorating had the pleasure of hosting a group of local students for STEAM Camp last week, in partnership with Darke County Economic Development. The event brought energy, curiosity, and lots of hands-on fun into our facility, and we couldn’t have asked for a better day.
Students rotated through several stations designed to give them a taste of real-world STEM and manufacturing — from decorating techniques and problem-solving activities to team-building games and quality control challenges. The JAFE team enjoyed getting to share what we do every day and watch students jump in with questions, creativity, and enthusiasm.

“We loved having the students here. They weren’t shy about jumping in and asking questions, and it was fun to see them connect the dots between what they learn in camp and what’s happening right here on the floor,” said Leigha Brown, Marketing Director of JAFE, who helped guide the sessions.
The camp is part of a larger effort by Darke County Economic Development to connect local employers with young talent and build interest in careers that exist right here in our region.
“We’re really proud to support events like this,” said Randy O’Dell, JAFE Decorating President. “These students are the future of our workforce, and giving them the chance to explore manufacturing in a hands-on way makes a big impact.”

A big thank you to Darke County Economic Development for bringing this opportunity to our community — and to the students who brought so much curiosity and energy to the day!
